STEVE KAUFMAN, NAPOLEON, GOLD, Signed/PP#’d, SAK Picture(s) and Description:

"Napoleon - Gold" by Steve Kaufman SILKSCREEN OIL ON UNSTRETCHED HEAVY CANVAS HEIGHT x WIDTH Canvas ~47.5" X 42.5", Suggested Framed Size 41" X 34" HAND SIGNED (ON REVERSE) NUMBERED - 2/50 PP (ON REVERSE) EXCELLENT CONDITION: THIS PRINT HAS NEVER BEEN DISPLAYED OR FRAMED (except framework used when being made). THIS IS AN UNSTRETCHED (UNMOUNTED) CANVAS. DESCRIPTION: This is a classic Steve Kaufman image of Napoleon Bonaparte astride a rearing horse. The Gold edition is also called State I. The coloring is lively, and the image is a classic. This would be an excellent addition to any art collection. The canvas, which will be shipped to the buyer rolled, in a sturdy mailing tube, is unstretched, and must be mounted on a frame to be properly displayed. The overall size of the canvas is larger than the suggested final size of the image when it is mounted for display. There is some room for variation when stretching the print, so the finished size of the image can be as suggested, or adjusted to suit your preference. This piece is considered to be an original because of the process of hand-embellishment, in which final details/coloring are applied to the piece by hand during/after the printing process. Thanks to the printing process used for this piece, each print produced is truly unique. List price for this piece is $6,000. Don't let this contemporary masterpiece at a spectacular price well below wholesale pass you by. ARTIST: Steve Kaufman was a prolific and important contemporary artist. His first art show was at the age of eight, and he continued to produce important pieces until his death February 12, 2010. Kaufman, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, has worked with Andy Warhol, and was his assistant at his factory. He designed theme parties at popular night clubs in New York, created graphics for shows such as Saturday Night Live, and has started many new styles of pop art, such as "Comic Book Pop Art" and "Museum Art", and has redefined the art printing term "hand-embellishment". Kaufman has been an active supporter of numerous charities, and has been especially involved in causes such as Aids awareness, promoting racial harmony, and helping the homeless. He has employed hundreds of former gang members or former prison inmates, helping them to develop a new way of life. All pictures are of actual item being sold.
